Iguazu Falls, Argentina, Brazil, and Itaipu Dam Tour
Multicultural Trip to Brazil and Argentina:
Experience, learn, and enjoy different cultures on an unforgettable journey through the subtropical forests and waterfalls of the national parks in Argentina and Brazil. Witness outstanding engineering feats like the Itaipu Dam and marvel at the colorful natural beauty of the national parks in both countries. Booking this trip will immerse you in the true culture of a tri-border area, experiencing diverse traits, accents, languages, foods, cities, and customs in just four exciting days.
First Day in Iguazu:
Your tour to Iguazu begins with a flight from Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at Cataratas del Iguazu International Airport, our bilingual tour guide will greet you, provide a detailed overview of your activities, and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore Puerto Iguazu on your own.
Second Day in Iguazu:
After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, you will start a full-day excursion to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls, a paradise for bird and animal lovers. Common sightings include butterflies, toucans, plush-crested jays, night herons, and snowy egrets. Throughout the park, lemur-like coatis abound, while capuchin monkeys and squirrels inhabit the forest canopy. During this tour, you'll explore several paths in the national park, witnessing over 200 falls including the stunning San Martin Falls, the Green Way, the Upper and Lower Catwalks, and the Devil's Throat paths via the forest train. The guided tour provides captivating views from both the Upper and Lower trails, offering perspectives from above and up close to the waterfalls. In the evening, we will drop you off at your hotel.
Third Day in Iguazu:
After breakfast, we'll pick you up for a cross-border day trip combining two great sightseeing excursions: the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls and the Itaipu Dam. You'll start with a guided tour of Iguaçu National Park along the Brazilian walkway, starting in front of Hotel das Cataratas and extending to Salto Floriano, the heart of the subtropical jungle.
You will visit Devil’s Throat, the largest waterfall in the region, best viewed from the Brazilian side. Here, 14 falls drop 350 feet (107 meters), creating a permanent 100-foot (30-meter) cloud of mist overhead. This area is famous for its rainbows, offering excellent photo opportunities. The panoramic view from the walkway circuit is unmatched.
Next, we will head to the Itaipu Dam, the world's largest operational hydroelectric power plant. The dam wall is an impressive 200 meters high, and from the top, you'll experience a massive 140-meter drop. Generating 12,600 megawatts of power, Itaipu supplies about 25% of Brazil's electricity and 95% of Paraguay's energy. This stunning piece of modern architecture will leave you speechless as you learn about its construction, environmental impact, and importance to Brazil and Paraguay. At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel.
Fourth Day in Iguazu:
After breakfast, we will transfer you from the hotel to the airport at the scheduled time, marking the end of your Iguazu Falls tour. This trip can be tailored to suit your schedule, interests, budget, and requirements as needed.
